These quaint buildings and courtyards were built in 1935 to depict a charming old village in Spain for the second California Pacific International Exposition. Spanish Village is located in Balboa Park next to the San Diego Zoo.

Spanish Village's Gallery 21 is available for rent to all San Diego County artists. We encourage artists who have never exhibited with us before to apply. We encourage one national/international exhibit per year. We are pleased to offer this outreach gallery at a nominal fee.

San Diego Artists continue to preserve and enhance its beauty as a historical landmark by adding to its charm by making each of the studios unique entryways individual, as is all of the artwork, and allowing the main patios to be rented for most special events. It is a favorite location for both professional and amateur photographers.
