“Ain’t Nothing Like a Dame” is a group show of six award winning women artists, each excelling in different media. Eileen Mandell is a photographer specializing in travel and nightscape photography. Oil paintings by Darlene Katz range from landscapes to beloved pets and dancers, all of them capturing the expressive essence of her subjects. Juli Ricksekker is a printmaker specializing in intaglo prints and monoprints of landscapes, especially local landscapes. Karen Howard is an internationally acclaimed pastel painter who creates her own arrangements, then the captures the subjects’ amazing details with pastels. Marcy Stinton creates sculptural works in fused glass, using vibrant colors that reflect light brilliantly. Pamela Fox Linton, the newest member of the group, is an abstract painter and mixed media artist who has artwork in collections throughout California.
